Description
This listing describes a pair of houses located at 367 Blackburn Road and 11A Eckersley Road, built around 1840. The buildings are constructed of random rubble and have a stucco finish on the Blackburn Road elevation, featuring rusticated corner pilasters and a hipped slate roof. They are designed in the Gothick style.
The exterior of each house is two stories tall and identical in appearance. Each facade has a central entrance with a six-panelled door topped by a traceried fanlight, all set within a Tuscan pedimented case. On either side of the entrance, there are paired fixed light windows with triangular heads, separated by mullions. A similar window is positioned above the doorway. The eaves are deeply overhanging and supported by moulded brackets on the Blackburn Road elevation. There is a chimney located in the center of the front slope and another at the rear gable.
The interior has not been inspected.
