Description

Manor House is a building dating from 1632, constructed of red sandstone with a slate roof. It features a late 17th century and later east wing made of stone, brick, and pebble-dash. The original part of the house has three bays, with a projecting central gable, and is three and a half storeys high at the front and two storeys at the back. The right wing is two storeys tall.

The exterior includes a plain projecting plinth, moulded strings at the first floor and at the base of the back parapet, and stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers and pointed finials. There are two symmetrically placed diminishing chimneys at the corners of the central projection, each with two diagonal flues. A projecting gabled porch and two half-dormers are present on the east wing.

The front features two, three, and four-light mullioned windows, although the leadwork has been replaced. The back has four and five-light mullioned and transomed windows, with the leading also replaced (originally diamond panes). The entrance has a modern shaped boarded oak door, and there is an oriel window in the left end gable, which is likely modern. The window surrounds in the original block are double bevelled with single bevelled mullions, while the east wing has single bevelled surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
