Description
Riddings House is an 18th-century house, remodelled in the mid-19th century and now used as flats. The building has a core of stuccoed brick and a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate, with two brick ridge chimneys. It is square in plan, with an extension to the right. The north front is two storeys high, symmetrical and three bays wide. The end bays have window surrounds with eared architraves, shaped like shoulders, framing sixteen-pane sash windows. The central bay features a large, mid-19th-century porch with Ionic detailing and paired columns. Behind the semi-circular headed architrave, which has panelled soffits, is a pair of half-glazed doors and a fanlight with radial glazing bars. A sixteen-pane sash window sits above. The extension to the right has simpler sixteen-pane windows, and the remaining sides have similar, though less complete, fenestration to the main facade. The interior has not been inspected.
