Description

Two town houses, probably dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of Flemish bond brown brick with a grey tile roof. The houses have three storeys. The facade of No. 14 faces east and is symmetrical, with a painted stone plinth. The front door consists of six fielded panels and a patterned radial-bar overlight, set within a case with panelled pilasters, consoles, a frieze, and a moulded pedimental hood. The windows are sash windows, now with four panes, set flush with painted stone sills and wedge lintels, with two windows to each storey. The facade of No. 15 faces south, and features a painted stone plinth, doorway, and window arrangement similar to No. 14. However, the second-storey west window of No. 15 has been converted into a canted oriel with a boarded apron and four lights, some of which have been altered. Both houses have an eaves cornice and simple brick chimneys. The interiors were not inspected.
