Description
6 King Street is a small town house dated 1735, although it has been altered. The building is constructed of brown brick in English garden wall bond and features a grey slate roof that runs parallel to the street. It stands three storeys high and has one bay. The front includes a rendered plinth and a four-panel oak door set in a simple wood case, topped with a small moulded hood. The windows are nearly flush horned sashes, with one tripartite window on the first storey and one window with 12 panes on each of the upper storeys. A lozenge-shaped datestone inscribed "B:IM:1735" is present, along with flush eaves and a chimney on the west side. The rear of the house has a wide gabled wing, but there are no notable external features visible. The interior could not be inspected.
