Description
The North Lodge Gate and Posts, located east of Eaton Park, were built around 1881 by Alfred Waterhouse. The gate is a 10-foot wrought iron single gate featuring a fairly simple design, with two wavy dogbars between each pair of main vertical rails. There is repeated scrollwork between the spikes at the head of the dogbars and at the top rail of the gate. Flanking the gate are a pair of complex sandstone gateposts, each adorned with four corner spirelets and a central mounting that holds a wrought iron lantern.
