Description

The building at 27 King Street, Chester, is a cottage likely dating to around 1840. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with brown brick detailing, and has a grey slate roof running parallel with the street. The property is three storeys high. The front entrance is a four-panel door with a plain overlight, set beneath a cambered brick arch. Each storey has a recessed four-pane sash window with a painted stone sill and cambered brick head. A chimney is positioned in front of the east end of the roof ridge. The rear elevation features a back door and a four-pane recessed sash window on each upper storey. A casement window has been inserted into the gable. The interior of the property was not inspected at the time of listing.
