Description

Rose Farmhouse is a probable late 17th-century farmhouse, altered subsequently. It is constructed of cement-rendered brick, with some areas of sandstone, and has a graded grey slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises a cross-gable wing to the right and a three-window wing to the left. The cross-gable wing has a small-pane casement window on each storey, as does the inner face of the cross-wing. A replaced door is located in the main wing, close to the junction with the cross-wing. To the left of the door are two small-pane casements, and above them on the upper storey are three four-pane casement windows. A brick chimney sits on the ridge just left of the doorway, and a lateral chimney is positioned to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
