Description
The farm buildings, located 30 meters southeast of Hallowsgate Farmhouse, date back to 1739, with a shippon added in the early 19th century and some parts rebuilt in the 20th century. They are constructed of orange and red brick in English and English garden wall bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings have a long, irregular layout and feature a two-storey, eight-bay front. The earliest section, located at the center, includes a plain brick band at the first floor, with doors and windows that have low segmental heads and lines of vertical slots. To the right, two bays have been rebuilt but include a reset datestone that reads "F T M 1739." The four bays to the left are angled and serve as a shippon, featuring doors with low segmental brick heads and stone dressings for hinges and catches, along with circular and square pitch holes above that have stone sills.
