Description

The Statue of Neptune is a stone sculpture from the early 19th century, originally located on the bank of a lake designed by landscape architect Humphry Repton, although the lake has since drained, leaving the statue isolated. The statue is set on a large pedestal and depicts Neptune seated, engaged in conversation and gesturing, alongside a young female figure in a reclining position.
