Description
The churchyard walls, railings, gates, and gate piers of the Church of St Michael date from the early 19th century and are made of stone and cast iron. The structure features a low plinth wall topped with cast-iron spearhead railings, with the main rails braced and capped by urns. There are main gates and flanking side gates, which are supported by two pairs of stone piers. The piers have moulded cornices, with the central pair topped by urns. The gates are elaborately designed in cast iron, featuring a lozenge pattern on the central gates, which are adorned with an overarch that has scrolled decoration and a central gilded sun emblem.
