Description

This is a well-composed range of late Georgian and Regency houses, dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The houses are constructed of stucco, and are arranged over three storeys each. Most windows are sash windows with glazing bars, although some are casement windows, also with glazing bars. Numbers 17, 21 and 23 have projecting bays, with numbers 21 and 23 featuring single-storey bays, likely additions. The doorways feature four or six-panelled doors, topped with fanlights, which are generally simple, with plain glazing bars, pilasters, and pediments or plain surrounds with cornices. Some of the houses have plain pilasters. Numbers 13 and 15 are older than the others and have parapet cornices, with broad, overhanging eaves supported by paired wooden brackets. The roofs are slate-covered. The houses, numbers 13 to 23, form a group with the properties at numbers 31.
