Description

This is a dovecote built around 1760, located approximately 40 yards north of the stable block at Tabley Inferior. It is constructed of red English garden wall bond brick and features a slate roof with lead flashings and a wooden lantern. The dovecote is octagonal and has two storeys. There is a doorway on the south front, which includes a six-pane door and a fanlight above it. The ground floor has rectangular windows, while the first floor has circular windows on all other sides, although these have been bricked up and rendered.
