Description
The sundial, which is missing its gnomon, is located south of the nave in the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin. It is likely from the early 19th century and features a copper dial mounted on a short, tapered square shaft made of gritstone. The shaft has a square head and rests on a weathered red sandstone base. The initials of the churchwarden are engraved on the dial.
