Description

Nos 8 and 10 on Hospital Street are early 19th-century buildings made of red brick. They rise to two and three storeys and feature three sash windows with plain lintels. The buildings have moulded wood eaves and a parapet. The shop fronts date from the 19th century, with No. 8 extending up to the second floor, set back from the pavement, and flanked by moulded pilasters. It also has a wood modillion cornice and moulded wood eaves cornice. No. 10 was unoccupied at the time of inspection and requires repair. These buildings are included for their group value with Nos 1 to 5 (odd) Pillory Street.
