Description
The walls extending from Mill Lane around the lighthouse and linked buildings were constructed in 1871 by Sir James N Douglas for Trinity House, London. Made of whitewashed stone, these walls enclose the entrance drive to the lighthouse and its associated buildings. They break into quadrants before forming a rectangular enclosure around the buildings and gardens. The walls are built from roughly squared coursed rubble and feature round coping.
