Description
The steps, walls, piers, gates, and railings in front of the former Brady and Martin building date from 1890 and 1897. They are constructed from brick, ashlar, and wrought iron. The stone steps lead to the door and are flanked by low chamfered stone walls. The low brick front walls have chamfered stone coping. There are five panelled square piers in total: one at the left end of the wall, two in the right end wall, and two in front of the door. These piers sit on plinths and feature paired brackets supporting the cornice of the coping, topped with urn finials. The railings include spike-headed elements alternating with twisted railings, panelled principals with scroll finials, and gates designed in a panel style.
