Description
This is a bridge dating from the late 18th century, located east of the A694 and leading to Lintzford House, known as Tyne and Wear Bridge Number 766. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a wide elliptical arch. There are four graduated round openings in each spandrel, positioned above a high-centred band at road-bed level. The bridge has chamfered stone coping, wrought iron lampholders, and four domed-topped piers along the parapets. It is partly situated in Blaydon parish within the Gateshead District.
