Description

The buildings at 118, 120, and 122 High Street date to the 18th and early 19th centuries. Number 122 is of 18th-century origin, with the remainder built in the early 19th century. The three buildings have two storeys and a varying number of windows - 2+1+3. They are constructed of brick; Number 120 incorporates yellow stretchers, while Number 122 uses a substantial quantity of 2-inch brick from the 18th century. Number 122 has a high-pitched Marley tiled roof with three brick chimneys and raised verges, with a slight angle at the south end. It features flush moulded frames around a sash window and a shop window on the ground floor to the right. Number 120 has cambered arches over modern glazing bar casement windows, alongside a glazed front door to the left. Number 118 presents a two-storey bay of three lights to the left and a doorway to the right. The roofs of numbers 118 and 120 are pantiled. The rear elevation of Number 122 is of 18th-century brick.
