Description

Poplar Court, consisting of numbers 1 to 3, is an early 18th-century building, possibly originally a warehouse. The building is constructed of local brick, with a pantiled roof and end and ridge chimneys. It is two storeys high and has seven bays. The north and south facades feature a regular series of elliptical arched panels on the first floor, into which later 18th-century and modern small windows have been inserted. Traces of similar arches are visible on the ground floor, though the fenestration has been altered with 19th-century sash windows and 19th or modern doors. Similar arches are also present on the end wall.
