Description
The stables and wall into the courtyard, attached to the northeast corner of Trewhitt Hall, were built in 1822 for J. Smart. The structure is made of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The wall is L-shaped, approximately 10 feet high, with a flat coping and two segmental carriage arches. The stables are single storey and consist of nine bays, including two stable-type doors and two boarded doors. An inscription reading "J. SMART 1822" is located above the door on the right. The building also has six- and nine-pane sash windows and a lean-to roof, with a high garden wall situated behind it.
