Description

The property is a farmhouse with an attached farmbuilding, dating back to the 18th century, though the western part was remodelled in the early 19th century from a single-story 18th-century structure. The farmhouse is constructed of squared, tooled stone with cut dressings, and has Scottish slates on the main section and pantiles elsewhere.

The main section of the farmhouse is two stories high and three bays wide, showing a symmetrical facade. A central half-glazed door is topped with a patterned overlight, and it is flanked by four-pane sash windows. The gables are coped, with a stepped and banded stack on the left end and a stepped and corniced stack on the right end. On the right return is a small four-pane attic window. A lower single-bay section to the left displays a half-glazed door and four-pane sash windows, all set within alternating-block surrounds. The farmbuilding to the far left has a pair of segmental arches, above which are four part-slatted windows set in stone surrounds. The left gable of both the house and farmbuilding feature raised, reverse-stepped coping. The left return of the farmbuilding has an external staircase leading to a boarded door within an alternating-block surround.
