Description
This is an 18th-century barn with an adjacent stable range located to the south-west of East Moor Farmhouse, which was extended in the early 19th century. The barn is constructed of large coursed rubble, while the extensions are made of roughly-tooled coursed stone featuring tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings. The roof is covered with Welsh slate, except for the north extension and stable, which have pantiles. The building is L-shaped and single-storey.
On the east elevation, there are four boarded doors: the first has a plain overlight, the third is flanked by inserted 6-pane casements, and the fourth features a 2-pane overlight. There is a coped gable to the right. The left return displays the stable, which has a boarded door flanked by slatted windows, all set in alternating-block surrounds. The rear elevation of the barn shows signs of weathering on the roof from a former gingang.
