Description
The stable block, built in 1862 by F.R. Wilson for William Crossman, is located approximately 20 yards north-west of Cheswick House. It features a rendered exterior with tooled-and-margined ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The structure is designed in an L-shape and consists of two storeys with six bays.
In the centre, there are two segmental carriage arches that have boarded doors. To the right, there is a boarded door and a 20th-century garage door at the extreme right. On the left side, there are two windows, one of which, along with four of the first-floor windows, are diamond-paned casements, while the others are 12-pane casements. The roof is gabled and includes a brick ridge stack.
