Description

This is an 18th-century building of ashlar construction, with a prominent cornice and decorative scrolls. It comprises three storeys and originally had two shop fronts on the ground floor, along with a central entrance leading to the upper floors. The front facade features five windows on each of the upper storeys. Local tradition suggests the building dates back to 1663, and a rear wing is said to contain an early fireplace with a three-centred chamfered arch. Nos. 77 to 85 (odd) and No. 91 form a group of buildings.
