Description

Dalton House is a house dating from the early 19th century, though with an earlier core. It is constructed of roughly-dressed stone with a Welsh slate roof. The main part of the house is double-span and six bays wide, with a lower, one-and-a-half-storey, one-bay addition to the left. An early 20th-century pebbledashed porch has a half-glazed door and overlight. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The gabled roof has flat coping and corniced end stacks. The addition to the left, originally a carriage house, features a large tripartite Yorkshire sash window under a segmental-arched old wood lintel, and has very thick walls. The rear span of the house has a more steeply-pitched roof. The interior has not been inspected.
