Description

This is a headstone located 5 metres west of the south transept of the Church of St. Maurice in Eglingham, dating from 1749. It is made of sandstone and features a small flat-topped design. The inscription commemorates William Humble. On the reverse side, there is a recumbent hourglass above a horseshoe-shaped panel that includes an anvil and hammer, flanked by standing figures.
