Description

West End Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, constructed of brick in an irregular, mainly stretcher bond pattern, and topped with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring a lobby-entry plan. The front includes a 20th-century panelled door with a flat arch above it, along with four-pane sash windows, which also have flat arches. The steeply-pitched gabled roof reveals tumbled-in brickwork on the right side. The brick end and ridge stacks have been renewed. Inside, the cottage boasts old oak beams and original roof timbers, including collar beams and principal rafters that die into the wall face.
