Description

Tansygarth Well, located 140 metres north of Apperley Farmhouse, is a wellhead that may date back to the 17th century. It is constructed from roughly-shaped stone and features a small apsidal chamber that is capped by a large slab. To the north of the well, there are remains of two stone troughs or tanks. The site may hold archaeological significance, as Apperley is thought to represent a diminished medieval village.
