Description
Paddock Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof, along with a rebuilt stone stack on the right gable. The building has two storeys and two bays, with an irregular layout.
On the ground floor, there is a blocked doorway with alternating jambs, located between a 20th-century door to the left and a later 19th-century sash window to the right. The first floor has a later 19th-century sash window set in an older opening that has chamfered jambs and a sill, as well as a narrow fixed window. The right side of the cottage shows a pigeon box in the outshut wall, which has twin openings cut into a single large slab, complete with an alighting ledge beneath.
