Description

The Garfield Guest House is a classical style building of 1849, constructed from ashlar with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and features flanking panelled pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course. A prominent doorcase is present, featuring Roman Ionic columns and an entablature. The building has three 12-paned sash windows on the upper floor and two on the ground floor. All the windows have good moulded stone frames, while those on the ground floor are also adorned with cornices. The building forms a group with Nos. 1 to 19 (odd) and No. 23.
