Description

The Bullock and Fawcus tombs, located 6 metres south of the Church of St. Lawrence, are a pair of tombs dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. They are made of cut sandstone. The table tomb features six round pillars with moulded caps and bases, supporting a slab with a moulded edge that bears an inscription for John Fawcus of Hope House, who died in 1772, along with his family. The box tomb to the west has fielded-panel sides and a top slab inscribed with the names Robert Bullock, who died in 1698, and his wife Phillice, who died in 1717.
