Description
This pant, or water trough, is located beside the road 200 metres north of the junction by Heatheridge in Humshaugh. It dates from the mid-19th century and was re-erected around 1970 when the road was widened. The structure is made of squared stone with rock-faced dressings. It is a small rectangular building featuring a shouldered arch that is flanked by pilasters. Above the pilasters and at the centre, there is a square cornice band with shaped finials.
