Description
This is a cottage and farm buildings that are attached to the rear of Roddam Home Farm, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The buildings are marked with a possibly re-set stone that reads "ER 1767," indicating they were associated with Edward Roddam. They are constructed of random rubble with dressed stone around the windows and doors, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The structure consists of a single range of two-storey buildings, which includes a double-storey barn, byres, stables, and granaries above. There are stone outside stairs leading to the granary, and shallow relieving arches over two ground floor doors and one first floor window. The buildings are included in the listing mainly for their group value.
