Description

This boundary stone, likely from the 18th century, is located on the south side of a wall, 300 metres north of Roe House. It is made of sandstone and is roughly shaped with a segmental top, standing 0.35 metres high. The stone features the letter "B" on the north side, which may refer to Broomhaugh, and the letter "F" on the south side, possibly indicating Fotherley. It marks the boundary between the parishes of Broomhaugh and Riding and Broomley and Stocksfield.
