Description

The Village House is an 18th-century building that was remodelled in the early 20th century. It has a pebbledashed exterior and a pantiled roof, exhibiting an Arts and Crafts style. The house is two storeys high with three windows. The ground floor has four bays, featuring a 6-panel door with a 5-pane overlight in the second bay. To the left of the door is a carriage arch with a segmental lintel. There is a 6-pane window in the third bay, and a recessed, canted bay window to the right. The upper floor has similar windows. All openings are topped with swept dripstones. The steeply-pitched gabled roof is finished with end stacks. The building is included on the list for its group value.
