Description
These are a block of 18th-century houses known as "Quayside Buildings," situated at 10 to 13 Quay Wall. The buildings are two storeys high, with basements that extend due to the slope behind the ramparts. They are constructed of ashlar, with a moulded cornice and scroll-shaped footstones. Most of the houses feature two sash windows per floor, although number 13 has five sash windows. Number 13 also features a cast-iron fanlight above the doorway. The buildings are designated as a group of Grade II importance, recognised for their prominent position as the riverside frontage of Berwick.
