Description
The garden and terrace walls located to the northeast of High Buston House date from the late 18th century. The garden wall is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond, featuring stone dressings and a squared rubble rear face, while the terrace wall is made of squared stone. At the north end of the garden, the wall rises to 4 metres high and has a flat coping that slopes down as it descends the steep slope to the east. There are boarded doors near each end of the wall. A short return at the west end has coping that ramps down. The flat-coped terrace wall, which is 1 metre high, continues south and includes three short flights of stone steps; however, the final section has lost its coping. These walls are included for their group value.
