Description
There are four boundary stones located on the parish boundary with Callaly Civil Parish, likely dating from the 18th century. These stones are made of cut sandstone and are rectangular pillars with segmental tops, standing between 0.65 and 0.85 metres high. The stones have incised letters, with an "L" on the north side and an "R" on the south side. Three of the western stones are built into a later drystone wall, leaving only one face visible. Two of the stones, located at NU 05700562 and NU 05430560, do not appear on current Ordnance Survey maps.
