Description
This is a disused pigeon cote located about 120 metres southeast of Neasham Hall. It was built in the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 20th century. The structure is made of Flemish-bond brick and features a pantiled roof with an octagonal plan. The openings have been modified, including an elliptical-headed doorway that is partly blocked with a casement window inserted, as well as a late 20th-century doorway and a tall, narrow fixed light. There is a circular opening near the eaves. The pyramidal roof has overhanging eaves, stone ridge tiles, and a ball finial. Inside, the cote is lined with nesting boxes.
