Description
Pelton Farmhouse, front garden wall, and end piers date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The house is built of squared stone with a graduated green slate roof and rebuilt brick chimney stacks. The wall and piers are made of large dressed stones.
The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring flush quoins. There is a central replaced door that is sheltered by a 20th-century bracketed wooden hood. The windows are replaced sashes with wedge lintels and projecting sills. The roof has reverse-stepped gables, shaped kneelers, and end stacks. The wall has concrete coping and slopes up to meet the left end pier. The rubble return walls are not of special interest.
This structure is included for its group value.
