Description
The walls and gate piers located to the east and south-east of the garden front of Seaton Hall are likely from the early 19th century, although the upper courses have been renewed. Constructed from narrow hand-made red brick in English garden wall bond and stone, the wall is approximately 3.5 metres high and 15 metres long, adjoining the right return of the garden front of Seaton Hall. There is a pointed-arched doorway to the left within a larger, partly blocked pointed arch. To the right, a tall square gate pier features a corniced cap and a ball finial made of sandstone, with a similar but truncated pier beyond it. A slightly higher wall continues south at a right angle for about 25 metres, featuring a chamfered brick coping course and terminating in another gate pier with a corniced cap and ball finial.
