Description
The lych gate located west of the Church of St. Cuthbert is a war memorial dated 1918. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with a wooden upper section and features a Welsh slate roof. The gate has chamfered coping on its stepped walls, which lean forward, and on the side walls of the gateway. The wooden panelled upper part supports a gable that has the date carved on a beam above a two-centred arch. The structure includes carved spandrels and bargeboards. The roof is steeply pitched with swept eaves, and the wooden gates curve upwards at the sides. Inside, there are wooden benches.
