Description

This is a table tomb located 15 metres west of the Saxon Church in Escomb, dating from 1840. It commemorates Michael Robson Elliott, who died in that year, along with members of his family. The tomb features a chest with raised fielded side panels and a long, well-cut inscription on the slab, which has a bolection-moulded edge. It is supported by six square-plan piers that have moulded plinths, cornices, and bombe shafts, all standing on a moulded base.
