Description
The boundary stone, located approximately 400 metres west of Windy Nook, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of fine-grained red sandstone and stands about 0.3 metres high. Each side features a large, well-cut Roman capital letter "B." While it is positioned on the boundary between the civil parishes of Lynesack and Softley, established in 1857 from Hamsterley, the initials indicate that it marks property ownership rather than a local authority boundary.
