Description
This boundary stone, located on the south side of the junction with Crane Row Lane, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and stands approximately 0.5 metres high, featuring an arched top. The west face is inscribed with large Roman capitals "L S," representing Lynesack and Softley. The east face is obscured by earth. This stone marks the boundary with Hamsterley parish.
