Description
McIntyre is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1800 with alterations made around 1900. It features painted stucco on the front, with a brick gable on the right side and a Welsh slate roof topped by a brick chimney. The building stands three stories tall and has two wide windows. The shop front, added around 1900, is made of wood and includes two recessed doors with long curved windows, along with brass sills that display slender Art Nouveau leafy designs. The granite stall risers and renewed window fascias enhance its appearance. The full-length shop fascia has paired end brackets and a central oval panel, with the name "McINTYRE" elegantly moulded and gilded on the glass, flanked by the words "BOOTS" and "LEATHER." The first floor features wide bay windows supported by slender pilasters, with curved glazing on the sides and central Ipswich-type glazing, all beneath a bracketed cornice. The second floor has tripartite fixed lights that do not have glazing bars.
