Description
Heather Lea is a house dating from around 1700, which was renovated and likely raised in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features a stone-flagged roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, arranged irregularly. In the second bay, there is a door with two long panels set in a shallow roll-moulded surround, which has a sunburst design on the lintel. To the right, there is a Dutch door with an overlight in a plain stone surround. The house has sash windows, with the ones in the right bay being 16-pane, all featuring stone lintels and sills. There are massive chimneys with dripstones located at the center and left of the building.
