Description
Sundorne and Milburn are two adjoining cottages built in the early 19th century. Sundorne features coursed rubble construction and has a stone-flagged roof. It is two storeys tall with one bay, and has 20th-century windows, a glazed door, and a sun porch. There is a chimney at the right end.
Milburn is also two storeys high and has four windows. It includes a six-panel door with a plain overlight, set in a tooled surround within a 19th-century cast iron trellis porch. The windows are 12- and 16-pane sashes with flush lintels and sills, and there is a chimney at the right end.
Sundorne is noted for its group value as part of the terrace that includes the Reading Room.
