Description

Westcott Lodge, formerly known as No. 4 Castle Square, is an estate house located in Bishop Auckland's bishop's park. It dates from the early 18th century and features later 18th-century alterations, likely incorporating some medieval materials. The building is finished with limewashed render and has a concrete tile roof with a rendered chimney. It is two storeys high and has four windows. An arch on the right side leads to a courtyard. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements with thin projecting sills, and the roof has end ridge chimneys.
